Description

The ATV is a long-nosed twin tip with a Traditional Camber profile and MOD 3 Core. Double I Carbon stringers gives the ATV a familiar and responsive ride for any long haul mission. Our Team’s All Terrain Vehicle. Snowboard Graphic by SAMUEL ROWSE.

The ATV Pro rides on SIMS MOD 3 Core, a combination of poplar wood native to North America and high strength to weight ratio bamboo with two parallel bamboo stringers running tip to tail under the hole pattern. Two carbon stringers, our Double I-Carbon Wide layup, run lengthwise outside the bamboo stringers. We top the ATV Pro with our Tri-Tex fiberglass laminate, our most advanced matrix used on Sims’ top-end boards. Combined together these elements produce loads of pop and smooth rebound out of turns for all conditions ripping. A classic powerhouse construction.

Flexible Thin Tip Tech reduces material at the ends of the board for less swing weight on rotations. Snake Bite Tech 1.8 grips into the mountain with four additional contact points in the heel and toe zones, giving the rider increased edge hold and a positive state of mind in icy and hard-packed conditions. The ATV Pro slides on SIMS Premium Racing Base, our fastest base option.

Tech

CAMBER
Traditional Camber: A single convex arc between the board’s contact points ensures predictable edge hold, load, and rebound as pressure is exerted and expelled throughout the rider’s turn.

WOOD CORE
MOD 3: A combination of poplar wood native to North America and high strength to weight ratio bamboo provides propulsive performance in this Core. We increased the width of the bamboo array to increase the strength and energized feel of this Core.

BASE
Premium Racing: This base utilizes a high-density, high-speed base material chosen for its molecular weight, which delivers unrivaled speed, excellent wear resistance, and increased wax permeability.

TIP TECHNOLOGY
Flexible Thin Tip: This weight-saving technology reduces material in the board’s tip and tail, resulting in lighter swing weight which makes it easier and faster to spin and rotate tricks.

FIBERGLASS LAMINATE
Tri-Tex: This is our most advanced matrix; a 3-way lay up that combines Light fiberglass at 90 ?, 45 ?, and -45 ? degrees, ensuring unquestionable pop, rebound, flex, and torsion in our highest performance boards.

CARBON LAY UP
Double I Carbon: Two tip-to-tail carbon stringers through the center of the core increase torsional rigidity for increased response and control.

Why Get A Wide Board

Choosing between a wide and regular snowboard depends on a few factors. For riders with larger feet (size 11 or up), a wide snowboard can prevent boot drag, offering better stability and reducing the chance of catching an edge.

The extra surface area also improves floatation in deep snow and enhances control, making for a more comfortable and stable ride.
