Vans is an original manufacturer of skateboarding shoes and related apparel. Paul Van Doren; his brother, James; and Gordon C. Lee opened the first Vans store as on March 16, 1966 in Anaheim, California.
Vans also sponsors surf, snowboarding, BMX, and motocross teams.
